Have been painting and walking in Dog Hill Wood. The two activities have become combined in my mind. After a concentrated painting spell, up to the woods where the wild garlic star flowers show themselves to the light through the branches, light through the leaves. The earth is deep brown up there decorated with bright green leaves fresh from wind and rain blown Spring trees. The old dark yews look like people have been lighting rain sodden fires around them. Sounds lovely  - loud bird in high tree.
